On Saturday we had our 5th Annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt! With the crazy weather we've been having we were so happy when, once again, the skies let up for a few hours so we could have yet another dry egg hunt. It seems every year the weather is less than pleasant on the day of our scheduled egg hunt, but so far, without fail, the rain has always stopped for just long enough for us to enjoy our egg hunt.
This year is Ethan's last year doing the egg hunt. We do it for kids 10 years and younger, which is about perfect because it's obvious that the excitment of finding plastic candy filled eggs has lost most of it's joy and wonder for him. At this point, he probably participates more for me than him. He's a good sport like that. :) Next year he will probably have more fun helping hide all the eggs.

I'm so glad that Audrey is still very excited about participating in egg hunts!

Here is David finding one of the coveted golden eggs. If you find a golden egg then at the end of the hunt you get a little prize.
(We always try to have enough golden eggs for all the kids.)

The first year we had the Easter Bunny come and visit our egg hunt, David cried at the sight of him. The second year he was willing to go have his picture taken with him as long as dad was right there with him, but this year he was so excited to see him and he couldn't wait to say "hi" and shake his hand and have a picture taken with him.

In the mood to be silly...

As usual, the girls couldn't wait to start digging into their findings.

On Easter Sunday we enjoyed staying in our pj's and watching Conference all day. For dinner the Munks, Grandma & Grandpa Kidd, and Kevin and Kinzi came over. We had another small egg hunt with Kinzi, and ended the day with our bellies full of good food and lots and lots of candy!

Most of all, this Easter we are thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ, and his atoning sacrifice for each of us. There is no other gift greater than this.
