Ohanapecosh | 2013

We had another awesome camping trip with the Dillon's, Stuard's, Grumble's, Campbell's, Baker's, and I even talked my parents into coming along this year. Unfortunately, Jason ended up having to go out of town the week of this camping trip so I was on my own, but thankfully, my dad and Doug helped me put up our tent and when I realized (the inexperienced camper that I am), that I had forgotten something pretty important, the Dillon's always had everything that you could ever even think to forget!

The kids had so much fun and the scenery is some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. We're already excited to go back again next year!

This is what greeted us every morning when we stepped out of our tent. The view from our site was spectaular!!!

I am so glad that my mom and dad were able to come with us this year!

Hike to Silver Falls

This is my favorite picture from our trip! Love it.

The kids were crazy. All of them. This is freezing cold glacier water. So cold it HURTS, but that didn't stop them. Then went swimming and cliff jumping. Burrr...

Crazy Lou was the first of anyone there to jump of the cliff and the rock.

Whoops! Slipped off the rock! Seriously, the temperature of the water literally took your breath away. (Oh so I hear, I decided to take everyone's word for it.)

I had to take my parents on the small hike around Lake Tipsoo. It's just so beautiful and they loved it!

Until next year!

Idaho - Island Park

Our favorite thing to look forward to every summer is visiting Idaho. I love it, Jason loves it, my kids love it! We can't get enough and if my kids had their way we would never ever leave. This year we spent an entire week in Island Park at the Munk's cabin instead of a few days and it still wasn't long enough. I could stay here the entire summer. It's so peaceful and the kids are always having fun!

It's a nice long fourteen hour drive to Island Park, but I love the drive. I have driven this every summer of my life. I also probably love it because Jason takes up most of the driving time leaving me to relax, take pictures, snack on food, and read! The drive was beautiful, blue skies, then awesome rain and lightening storms, gorgeous sunsets, and by the end we had wiped out a few hundred bugs... some impressive ones too!

Island Park
Why do we love coming here? Dirt bike riding, swimming, boating, tubing, knee boarding, jet skiing, fishing, relaxing, gorgeous scenery, amazing sunsets, awesome wildlife... What's not to love? Having to leave...that's what!

We spent hours and hours just hanging out on this dock, and boat, and toys...

The boys went on quite a few rides and David was excited to go on some longer ones with the boys this year!

Tubing... The kids are crazy! I took probably over 800 tubing pictures. Obsessive, I know... I wanted to post them all, but I didn't... probably still posted too many, but my family love them. :)

We have tons of hilarious GoPro footage tubing, jet skiing, jumping off the dock, although the best of it has to be the adventures of diaper girl! (Inside joke)

Jason and Stan giving a very serious fishing lesson. ha!

But it worked cause both Ethan and Blake caught a fish. (All they did was bait the hook, set up the fishing pole, leave it there to go dirt bike riding, and then come back to find they both had a fish on the end of their line.) Ethan's is the big one!

David was sooooo envious that he immediately wanted to go and catch one of his own. It took less than an hour to achieve his dream.

Meagan was the only one willing to gut the fish!

We didn't break out the knee board until the last day. I don't know why, but Blake and Audrey gave it a go. Blake was a natural and Audrey had to work a little harder to figure it out, but that girl is no quitter and tried again, and again until she finally did it! I love that girl!

Last night out... we didn't want it to end!

Audrey Lou showing off her new skill with the most amazing backdrop!

Until next year... (Thank you Munk Family!)
