Tag: 6th folder, 6th picture

This tag is tricky because not only do I have subfolders within subfolders like everyone else... I also have four separate hardrives to store my pics! I decided to pick the oldest hardrive... back to when we first went digital in 2003.

The first picture is my real sixth picture... Ethan at age three riding around on his bike... the second one was the picture right underneath it. I thought it was sooooooooo funny and I just had to share. Audrey has always loved her food... not much has changed, other than the fact that she gets most of it in her mouth these days.

I know I'm supposed to tag six people now, but it looks like most of you guys have already done it or you've already been tagged, so if you're reading this and you haven't been tagged... you are now!

Tag: Dinner Post

First off I must thank Jamie for tagging me and for making me embarrass myself by posting what we ate for dinner last week! Disclaimer: Last week the kids were on Spring Break so it was a sometimes crazy, somtimes lazy kind of week!

Sunday: Homemade Lasagna, salad, corn, and garlic bread. We had the Dillons over for dinner and they brought their famous "conference brownies" for dessert.

Monday: Leftover Lasagna and Macaroni & Cheese for the kids.

Tuesday: We had cereal! Okay! We LOVE our cereal in the Kidd household. Audrey & David's current favorite is Honey Bunches of Oats & Ethan is diggin' the Fruity Cheerios. (We did have a late lunch at Red Robin since we had been visiting the Seattle Aquarium.)

Wednesday: Macaroni & Cheese! Yummy! Ethan was overjoyed at our dinner selection!

Thursday: Audrey was very sick all day and Jason had a late work dinner so we had cereal again. (Hey! Stop judging me! Ethan & David were thrilled with their 3 bowls of cereal each! Audrey still wasn't in the mood for much...)

Friday: We made stack-ups. Stackups consists of chili, crumbled Doritos, lettuce, cheese, tomatos, and salsa on top. Delicious! ;)

Saturday: McDonald's. (We worked in the yard all day and decided to make dinner easy before having to bathe the kidlets!)

Sunday: Tacos...

Well... there you have it... Pretty exciting, I know...

Oh yes... and who to tag next? Hmmm... I think I'll tag my mom since it's been a while since she's posted anything!

Tag! Here we go again...

A. I am breaking all the rules and I am not tagging anyone... but if you would like to do it, then go for it! I love to read them!

10 years ago:
Jason and I were living in an older couples basement apartment (we loved it!), both working full-time, going to school, and no kids yet! It was such a fun time! I still dream of those lazy Sunday afternoons...

5 things on my to-do list today:
1. Help in Audrey's school class
2. Clean-up, vacuum, fold laundry
3. Bring Audrey to dance
4. Cook dinner
5. Help Ethan finish homework

5 Snacks I enjoy:
1. Hershey's Mint Chocolate Kisses (they didn't make them this year and I was so disappointed!)
2. Wheat Thins with Garlic & Herb Laughing Cow Cheese Spread
3. Chedder Cheese Popcorn
4. Chips & Salsa (a staple in the Kidd household!)
5. M&M's and a cold Sprite

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire:
1. Help both Jason's and my parents retire and retire WELL!
2. Buy a couple of homes, including this one! Oh!... and, of course, buy a big pad for each of my brothers and sisters too!
3. Pay off all of our friend's debt and then go on a shopping spree and give them each $10,000 with the rule that they had to spend it all in one day!
4. Give my kids amazing life experiences and try as hard as I could to not spoil them or let them grow up feeling entitled.

5. Find worthy charities to support.
6. And I agree with Julie... Shop! Shop! Shop! (Come on, who wouldn't?)

3 of my bad habits:
1. Staying up too late
2. Eating late night snacks
3. Always forgetting my cell phone or having a dead battery!

5 places I have lived:
(This is really depressing after reading Kerry's blog!)
1. Renton
2. Kent
3. Covington
4. Maple Valley

5 jobs that I have had:
1. Shakey's Pizza (Jason and I worked there together in high school!)
2. Receptionist for BEST Retail Stores. (No longer around)
3. Equifax (typed up people's application for life insurance)
4. Smith & Greene Company (restaurant equipment & supply company)
5. MOTHER!

5 Things people don't know about me:
(I'm pretty much an open book, so I can't think of much...)
1. I've been both skydiving and bungee jumping! Love a good thrill!
2. I've already had skin cancer. The youngest case my dermatologist has ever seen.
3. I have white hair. Not just a few strands... I'm completely white.
4. I am always cold! Always! I'd set my thermostat to 80 degrees if it weren't so expensive!
5. I shattered most the bones in my right hand and had to have metal pins put in it when I was 11.

Tagged again...

Kent Meridian High School
Senior Picture

How long have you been married? 12 years!
How long did you date? Since we were 16 years old! I did the math the other day and that means that we've been together more than half of our life! Crazy!!
How old is he? Jason just turned 33!
Who eats more? Unfortunately, probably me!
Who said "I love you" first? Who knows!? But if I had to wager a guess, I bet the first time one of us said it, it was in a cheesy note we passed between classes.
Who is taller? Jason by about 3 inches.
Who sings better? Toss up... probably me because I sing more often.
Who is smarter? Funny question... We've decided I'm more book smart. I can study for a test and do really well, however, Jason is definately smarter when it comes to applying things in the real world. He can buy a motorcycle manual and take the engine apart and rebuild it without having any prior experience.... and it works! I could NEVER do that.
Who does the laundry? Mostly me. Jason will sometimes throw a load in the washer & dryer, but I can't think of the last time he folded.
Who does the dishes? Depends. If I cook dinner then he will often clean up if he has time and if he cooks dinner then I will usually clean up.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?
Looking at the bed, Jason does
Who pays the bills? Me.
Who mows the lawn? Both, but for the last couple of years it's mostly been me.
Who cooks dinner? Usually me, but whenenver he is home he usually does most of the cooking. This is why I love Sunday dinners!
Who is more stubborn? Probably me, but I don't think either one of us are over the top stubborn.
Who kissed who first? Jason kissed me on the ski bus on the ride home. I'll never forget it!
Who asked who out? Jason gave me a note during class periods that asked if I'd like to sit with him on the ski bus and ski with him that night. Squeeeee!
Who proposed? Jason. I knew it was coming so he wanted to surprise me somehow. So he had a cop pull me over and after the cop gave me a hard time, Jason popped out of the cop car and then proposed. Surprising?... yes! Romantic?.... hmmm.
Who has more friends? Probably Jason since he's friends with so many people from work, church, ball, and just about everywhere. Everyone likes Jay.
Who has more siblings? We're both one of 5 kids.
Who are you tagging? I tag Maria, Melissa, Mary, and my mom!

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? wrapping paper... I love to wrap gifts and make them beautiful, but I have learned that my kids don't appreciate a well wrapped gift so I rarely use even a bow on their gifts.

12. When do you start shopping for Christmas? Usually late October, but I'm never done until days before Christmas... :(

13. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Don't think so....

14. Favorite food to eat on Christmas? Oh... where do I start.... ??? Egg nog, beef stick with cheese & crackers, ham with potatoes and all the fixings, all the candy and chocolate treats, Hershy's Mint Chocolate Kisses (they didn't make them this year & I'm furious!)

15. Clear or colored tree lights? clear

16. What is your favorite Christmas Song? Silent Night

17. Travel during Christmas or Stay home? we have never traveled at Christmas...both our families are from this area, but one year I'd love to rent a cabin in the mountains and go with family.... maybe when my kids are older... not now.

18. Can you name Santa's reindeer? Sure... I just need to copy them off Jamie and Melissa's site real quick. ha! ha! I always forget a few of them.

19. Angel or Star on Tree top? a star (it came with the tree and I actually like it!)

20. Open presents on Christmas Eve or morning? It's tradition to open one with my family on Christmas Eve!

21. Most annoying thing about this time of year? Worrying about getting too much or too little for my kids.

22. Favorite thing about Christmas? Watching my kids get so excited and also having an opportunity to focus on Christ more.
.
