Durhamtown | February 2014

**My goal is to get back up to date with my blog in the next month or two. I'm only behind by about a year or so as the boys are heading out next week for another Durhamtown visit.

The boys enjoyed another fun trip down to Durhamtown in Georgia for a weekend of dirt bike riding. This year David got to join the guys and go and hang out with his cousins, Dawson and Quinton. No riding yet for the little guys...maybe in a few years!

Of course they had a blast and it is always over way too fast. Here are a few pictures of Ethan riding. The guys had fun playing with the camera and GoPro, but apparently had no time for it when they started to ride so I have no pictures of the old men this year!

David working on his GoPro skills. He got some cool video...

And maybe so not so cool video too...

In fact, he may be the first to make the GoPro look uncool. Kidding. Kind of.

After a few days of hard riding, it always feels good to head back to Dave & Julie's and just chill for a day or two. Ethan loves Quinton. He says he's the coolest little kid ever.

And all that riding sure does make for a hearty appetite. David heard the pizza was big, but it far surpassed his expectations!

David and Dawson

The little boys needed a fun outing too so they went and visited Legoland. (Not to be confused with Lego World) Two totally different things. But the little guys thought it was great!

Can you find the Lego imposter?

You are NEVER to old to play with Legos!

Until next year year!...or more accurately, next week.

St. Anthony | Ashton | Meridian - Idaho

While visiting the Munk's cabin this summer we also drove down to the sand dunes in St. Anthony's. I used to visit here all the time when I was a kid and I hadn't been here since Ethan was a baby. The kids thought it was pretty cool except for the burning HOT sand. We kicked our shoes off and went running and it hurt so bad I thought we would all get blisters! Jason and Stan, of course, brought the dirt bikes and were riding for hours before Julie and I got there with the kids.

Cliff Jumping!
(And yes, of course, I made them all do this and they love me enough to humor me!)

Ashton, Idaho
On the way back to the cabin we drive through Ashton, so we had to take a small detour to go check out Grandma's old farm. I miss this place so much! It was a bit sad to see her home so overgrown, but I was happy the house was still there. We also had to stop by Frostop and get the a-MAZ-ing milkshakes. So good!

I always feel like I'm driving back in time because it feels like nothing has changed in thirty years!

4th of July
The Halls

This year we celebrated the 4th of July at the Halls. With our family, the Munks, our friends the Thorpe's, and a whole bunch of the Hall family we had over 70 people! It was crazy and fun! The kids never stopped. We had tons of good food, a snow cone machine, enough fireworks to keep the boys entertained for hours, and the boys even put on a small motorcycle show. Plus, nobody blew off any limbs. It was a success! :)

Love this shot of the boys during the blessing on the food.

Austin strung up hundreds and hundreds or firecrackers in the tree and when they lit them off if felt like they went off forever. Boys!

Girls obviously not as excited about blowing things up.
 Cousins!

It was a fun trip and we're already counting the days till we go back. Luckily we're headed back this winter!
