Audrey Lou is 11!

In April, Audrey turned eleven years old and we celebrated by spending the day getting pedicures and doing lunch with two of her good friends. We lucked out with beautiful warm flip flop weather and I enjoyed this birthday celebration just as much as the girls! All the ladies at the nail salon thought the girls were so cute (and they were!), and they spent a fair amount of time selecting and re-selecting what color nail polish. Each of the girls got a little flower embelishment on their toes as well. They turned out awesome!

Nothing better than a nice foot massage! I think I was in my late twenties before I had my first pedicure and Audrey has already had two!

After having our nails done, we headed to Red Robin for lunch where the girls ordered a huge lunch complete with yummy milkshakes.

It was a gorgeous day and the girls were so much fun. I can't believe next year Audrey will be going to middle school. She is the most cheerful, happiest person I know and I'm so lucky to be her mom.

Reptile Zoo

Snakes, Lizards, and spiders... oh my! In April, one day during the kid's rainy spring break, we went up to Everett to pick up my niece, Kinzi, to come spend a few days with us. Since we were up in that neck of the woods, we decided to stop by the Monroe Station Reptile Zoo and it was pretty cool. We saw an albino alligator, a two headed turtle, snapping turtles, all kinds of deadly snakes, and some pretty big hairy spiders too. It was pretty cool and the kids loved being able to touch the turtles and some of the lizards as well as hold some of the snakes! Eeeks.

Two headed turtle, named Pete and Re-Pete.

Okay, this guy is kind cute. Right?

Tarantula named Rochelle. Not cute.

Easter | 2013

This year we went to Grandma and Grandpa Stringham's to celebrate Easter. It was such a beautiful day and it felt so good to be out in the warm sunshine. The older kids had a lot of fun this year hiding all the easter eggs for the younger kids. Even though it's sad to see some of them outgrowing these fun traditions, it was fun to see them excited to make it fun for their younger cousins!

Our designated Easter Bunnies this year; Tommy, Ethan, and Audrey

Matthew 28: 5-6
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is arisen.

Seattle

Last week the Halls came up to visit for their spring break. Too bad it wasn't our spring break too! We did, however, get the kids out of school early one day so that they could spend some time with their beloved cousins. With the beautiful weather, we decided to go down to Seattle and eat, ride the ferris wheel, and visit Pike Place.

Scenic views of Seattle from the top of the ferris wheel

The gang waiting for their turn on the ferris wheel. (Audrey was at Camp Casey this week and Hannah had a softball game and we missed them!)
Gorgeous Girls
"The Knobs" as we loving refer to these two.

Trouble...

The kids loved feeding the seagulls their french fries until one of them pooped on Conner!

Cutie!... even with his biffed up chin. :)
David was photo bombed!
Taking a walk over to Pike Place

Gross. Enough said.
