Crashing the campout!

Friday we decided to crash the Mendenhall-Stringham campout! When we heard they were just going to be up at Kanaskat again, we invited ourselves up for the day. We got to go on little hikes to the river, bike rides, hang out by the campfire, and David's favorite... ride in the back of old blue! It was a lot of fun!... and the best part is... at night time, we got to drive back home and get in our nice warm beds! Well... I'm sure my kids wouldn't have said this was the best part, but I sure enjoyed it! I guess they're not going to let me get away with this convenient kind of camping much longer... we better plan a real camping trip soon!

the gang!

Going on a bike ride with Uncle Eric!

David wasn't invited on the "big kid" bike ride so he resorted to riding around with mom! It's always fun to ride somewhere different! (It may be hard to find many pictures of David not on his bike these days! He loves it!)

Hike to the river...

Going for a ride in old blue..
(This may have been the highlight of David's day!)

We decided these two look more like siblings than they do with their real brothers!

Thanks for letting us crash the party!

I totally want to go here! I can't believe that's just a few miles from my front yard. :)

I hear camping in the desert is a lot of fun too! Like Zion's National Park or the grand canyon! If you end up that way stay at Rainey's Retreat in St. George. I hear the host is very nice and can cook up some yummy food!

Looks like everyone had fun!

That is such a quiet and peaceful camping site. The river pictures are spectacular! Yep, I think you may need to try REAL camping soon!
