Today was one of two annual BBQ's at Ethan & Audrey's school. David and I got to go and eat lunch outside with them and then play at recess! Whoo-hoo! Since Ethan and Audrey have lunch at two different times, David and I got to hang out for quite a while. We first had lunch with Audrey and by the time we finished we only had a few minutes to play on the playground before she had to go back to class. We then hung out for a while until it was time for Ethan's lunch. Ethan quickly scarfed down his lunch so that he could take David to the playground to play.
David had so much fun playing at recess! He would have stayed all afternoon. Ethan was so good at making sure the "big" kids didn't trample all over him... which was actually quite a chore! I noticed David watching the older kids quite a bit and copying some of the things he saw them doing. It was kinda sweet...
Of course, the weather has been gorgeous all week and then on the day of the BBQ it's cold and wet. What can ya do? At least it had dried out by lunch time!
