Happy 7th Birthday Audrey Lou!

Yesterday was Audrey's birthday and we celebrated by inviting her friends over for a "cooking mamma" celebration. The kids had fun making treats and decorating cupcakes with each other. They each decorated five, one to eat at the party and four to bring home to share with their families. We also had a yummy chocolate fountain with pretzels, strawberries, marshmellows, and rice cripsy treats.

Here is Audrey's very own decorated cupcakes! She was very proud of all of her creations. I took a picture of our birthday decorations pre-party, but I am very sad that I didn't think to take a picture of the post-party table decor. My-oh-my... talk about a frosting and sprinkle explosion! But it was worth it because they all seemed to have a fun time! And I have to thank my friend, Becky, who was so awesome to help me make the cupcakes and her most delicious frosting. Her cupcakes are our families favorite and we felt so lucky to have her generous donation!

Maria's good friend, Shawna, was so sweet to make each of the guests their very own little apron. They turned out so cute!... way beyond my expections! Thank you so much!

After making yummy treats, the kids ate some pizza rolls (one of Audrey's favorites) and snacks. They decided it would be more fun to eat outside on the trampoline that dad had put up the night before.

Audrey, of course, could barely wait to open her presents and loved everything she got! She's actually quite easy to please. You could probably get her a roll of toilet paper and she would find some way to fall in love with it!

At the end of the party the kids all rushed outside for some trampoline time! Good thing dad thought to put this up! Thirteen kids outside is always better than thirteen kids inside.

I was very excited that Audrey's day turned out to be such a fun one for her since she had been excited about it for so long. Right after her party she even was able to go to another friend's birthday party... so it was a big day of birthday celebration! Oh!... and I also have to thank my sister, Maria, for sticking around to help out! There was NO way I could have pulled this off without her!

I can't believe my little girl is already seven! We are so glad that Audrey is part of our family. She brings so much joy and enthusiasm into our lives. She takes joy in all the small simple things in life and teaches us not to take the little things for granted. She is a kind and happy girl and we love her!
