Saturday was our annual neighborhood Easter egg hunt. This is one of our favorite traditions... the kids look forward to it every year and these will be some of my favorite memories. Here is David hanging out with some of his neighborhood buddies waiting for the egg hunt to begin. They let the youngest go first to give them a little bit of a head start.
Time for the 5-6 year old group... Go Audrey Lou! The only kids in this group this year were her and Aubrey.
Last, but not least... the "big kids" turn!... these kids mean business. There is no messing around here.

For most of the morning, Ethan and Malcolm had decided they weren't going to do the Easter Egg hunt. I guess they felt they were too old, but when it came down to the wire, they obviously (and predictably), changed their minds!
I love that these girls will always pose for a picture for me.

Nobody ever makes it home to check out their eggs. The girls always sit down on the sidewalk and compare goodies and prizes.
Can anyone guess why this was Audrey's
favorite easter egg?... because it is soooooo cute and little!

David checking out his chocolate Easter Bunny. They handed one out to each of the kids at the end of the hunt and they were a BIG hit!
How cute is David admiring all of the Easter eggs he found?!
David was my favorite to watch this year because he was really excited about it this time and he really "got it".
*The obligatory picture with the Easter Bunny.

Every year one of our neighbors dresses up as the Easter bunny. David wouldn't go near him unless Dad went with him. Even Audrey and Aubrey said he was scary and after posing for a picture ran away screaming at the top of their lungs!... weird-os!

I would love to live in a fun neighborhood like this some day. Your kids are lucky (and super cute too!)!
Looks like a lot of fun. I am sure the bunny would scare Blake too. Blake was a lot of fun this year too! So sad the Ethan is starting to grow up, I am glad he has a little kid left in him and decided to do the hunt. Who wouldn't want to. I had a hard time holding back.
What a fun neighborhood! So fun to see the pictures.
Oh that looks like so much fun. I wish our community did something fun like this. I guess I'll have to talk to the manager. ;)
