Lake Union

We finally got to go out on Maria and Eric's new boat Friday afternoon. The kids had an early release from school so we headed down to Lake Washington as soon as the kiddos stepped off the bus. It was such a gorgeous day!... it always amazes me how unbelievably gorgeous the Puget Sound is on a beautiful sunny day. The kids had SO.MUCH.FUN.

Ethan and Audrey loved it when Eric would go super fast and crash into the bigger waves. They were a bit violent for mine and Maria's taste, but the kids sure loved it. We also loved driving through Lake Union and seeing all the huge boats and the awesome view of the city. David was mesmorized by all of the big bridges and loved when the ducks and geese would come around.

We're going again on Monday so Jason can come with us so you may see a very similar post in the very near future.

Any time we would pass by these big ships, David and Blake would scream... "Holy Cow!" It was cute... I guess you had to be there.

"Thou shalt not covet".... But I mean, really?!... could you even imagine living here?

And yes.... the kids were crazy enough to get into the tube with temperatures that weren't even quite 70 degrees. Audrey was the first brave soul and we thought maybe the only one that was going to attempt it until Maria applied the peer pressure by saying that Audrey was the only brave kid on board. We, of course, didn't go super fast because we didn't want them flying into the water because it was COOOOOOOLD.

Tommy pulling himself in and looking like an old pro.

Ethan's face is not one of fear, this is the face he made when he got in the tube filled with freezing cold water. Crazy kids!

My cute kiddos. (I love how Ethan has only one flip-flop on.)

Thanks for the super fun day Uncle Eric & Aunt Maria!

I miss the water! I guess with a desert environment I should take up hiking, but its not as fun as boating looked with your pictures.

That third image, wow, what a great location for portraiture! Too bad you'd have to walk on water to pull it off. Wonder if the land side is just as cool?
