Tahoma Little League Marlins

Ethan had his last game as a Tahoma Little League Marlin yesterday. Ethan and his buddy, Malcolm, were on the same team again this year and had a lot of fun! We actually had great weather for most of the games (waaaaaay better than last year!) and the boys improved so much from the beginning of the season. This was their first season doing kid pitch instead of coach pitch so the first half of the season was quite interesting with all those wild pitches. But as the season went on, the boys got better and better and those last handful of games were a lot of fun to watch!

Here are a few of my favorite shots of the season. I brought my camera to some of the games and made a Marlins Blog for the team. Check it out if you're interested in seeing more pics!

Ethan's favorite position is playing catcher. He thinks that is where most of the action is. He even tagged out two players trying to steal home.

... and yes. Some of the pitches were so bad that the catchers would have to jump up to catch the ball. Good stuff!

Malcolm stealing third!

Ethan stealing second.

Ethan improved a lot on his pitching this year! Here is a picture of him pitching for the first time.

Most of our games this year were at Lyons Field in Renton and although it was a bit of a drive, it was a beautiful field and the kids had so much fun hanging out making mud holes, mud pies, wading in the creek, watching the cows, and making new friends. I'm a little sad that the season is over.

just a LITTLE sad? I thought it was a fun (though little long) season. The kids really did make progress this year. Next year can only get better.

You did a great job of capturing the season! I can't believe we didn't take any pictures of the kids at the creek!

Sounds like a fun season at the ball park. I love all the pictures. Your kids are so darn cute. Audrey with her muddy hands. Ethan as catcher. Davie eating crackers, and tickling. Just so much cuteness.
