Last week Ethan had his tenth birthday! Wow. Is anyone as shocked as I am that our little Ethan is growing up so fast? I really love this kid. He is very laid back and can come across a little shy, especially in large groups, so I sometimes feel bad that a lot of people don't get to see how smart and funny he can be. I am so proud of the boy he has grown into. He is kind, honest, funny, and very generous to his brother and sister. His favorite things right now are hanging out with his friends, riding his bike and playing in "the ditch", video games, his motorcycle, Diary of a Whimpy Kid, sweatshirts, scary theme park rides, Legos, Bakugans, and pizza.
For Ethan's birthday this year he invited some friends over for an X-Box/Wii Video game party. We told everyone to show up around 2pm and a few of his friends hung out with us until past 11pm! They had such a fun time and loved being able to play video games all day without mom telling them to find something else to do!
For his birthday he got a Ripstik, Legos, Flick Trix Bikes, and a Nerf gun! Grandma got him a gift certificate to go pick out a toy and he spent forever in the Lego isle picking out the perfect ones. He was excited to go home and put them all together and when he was done he asked me to take a picture of them all so that he could show Grandma what he picked out.
Here is Ethan back in the winter of 2003. So cute!

Happy Birthday Ethan! Great pictures of him.
It is hard to believe he is already 10. I remember how excited the whole Stringham family was to have the first grandchild. We all waited for hours at the hospital for him to be born. What a perfect first grandchild he was.....so happy and willing to let everyone hold and play with him....and we monopolized him until Tommy was born 2 years later. He is such a fine boy....I'm just not ready to call him a fine young man, yet....I want him to be a child in my mind for awhile, yet.
Holy cow! Time flies! Love the new header picture by the way!
Gosh, I don't think I realized he'd be 10!! BTW... did we send a gift?!? I remember sending abox full of gifts earlier, but don't remember his in particular!!!! Anyway... he's a great kid and I am a proud Aunt!!
Wow. He is growing up. He is such a good looking kid.
Welcome to the double digits Ethan! Happy Birthday!
holy crow ~ that picture is exactly what he looked like when we moved here! It's crazy because I don't think of him as having changed at all....and yet he has!
:)
