We've been having some beautiful warm spring days lately and we took advantage one day by going out and flying some kites. I had a cub scout activity last week and I bought some $1 kites at Walmart for the boys to fly and they flew so well that I headed to the store the very next day to buy a bunch more. These kites are really one of the best one dollar purchases I have ever made!
Here is David right after my cub scout activity at a little park near the ball field that Ethan has his baseball practice.
David and Dana were the first to get out the new kites and when the older kids got home, they couldn't wait to try them out too. With so many trees up and down our street we found that the kites would get stuck in the trees so they had to fly them a little lower to avoid getting them stuck, but these little kites fly really well.
After a short time, some more neighbor kids came out with some more kites and we had a little neighborhood kite flying party!

I am going to have to definitely check our Walmart and see if they have any of those in stock. We got a costco dragon kite years ago that I am still struggling to figure out!

Great bargain! Reminds me of all the times dad took you all to Panther Lake to fly kites! You got some very nice shots!
