He did it!... and he's GOOD!

Do you notice what is missing from David's bike?... yep! The training wheels are officially gone!

Monday, on the way home from preschool, David asked me if he could learn to ride his bike without training wheels. I wanted to teach him how to do this a few months back because I knew he'd be able to do it, but he was definately not in the mood for it that day. But today was a different story. He couldn't wait to try it. I took his smaller bike out and I ran behind him for a few steps and he was off! It was so exciting!

He rode all the way to the end of the cul-de-sac and then turned around and came back. Now he's all over the place! He loves to show people his tricks... going up and down the curb, riding standing up, and riding down the neighbor's "steep" driveway.

It's always more fun to ride bikes with a friend.

We did have a few mishaps, but as soon as I suggested we go inside and take a rest, he quickly got up, wiped away his tears, and jumped back on his bike.

Way to go Davie! We're so excited for you!
