David was so excited for our adventure with monkey the following morning. I told him the night before that we would take monkey with us everywhere and we would take pictures of him so that he could show Mrs. Cloud all about their day together. David loved it and so did I.
Before we left for our errands, David and monkey played a little MX vs ATV Unleashed on the X-Box while I finished my morning chores.
First on our agenda for the day was getting David a much needed haircut. The hairdresser was super sweet and even agreed to give monkey a little trim for free.
Then it was David's turn! (He's always been such a trooper about getting his hair cut.) In fact, I'd even go so far as to say he kind of likes it. Either that or he just really loves getting a sucker at the end.
David showing off his new haircut. The hairdresser even used a little blue gel to style his hair, which David thought was really cool.
While walking out of Sports Clips, we noticed that there was a new Halloween store next door and we thought it would be fun to go inside and check it out. David loved all the kid customes and decided he wants to be Buzz Lightyear for halloween. I didn't buy the costume yet because I'm still afraid he's going to change his mind.
Some of the displays were pretty darn creepy. There were many displays where you could press a button and they would light up and talk and move. Even though David insisted we push every button in the store, they still made him a little scared.
And why wouldn't they?! They kind of creeped me out too. I felt that it was just a little too dark for my little guy's sweet, innocent eyes!
After we left the Halloween store, I decided to take David out to lunch and I had such a great time just visiting with David. Something, I realized, that I need to do more of. Just him and me.
The ladies that were working at Taco Time thought David was so cute with his little monkey. They came over and asked him about his monkey and later came back to bring him a little monkey mask for free! Super exciting indeed!
David is learning the letter B at preschool this week so we spent a few minutes finding all the letter B's we could find in the word search.
David remembered how we took panda to the park last year and wanted to bring monkey to the park to swing on the swings too. It was all he could talk about all day. It's funny how the little things are such BIG things to them.
In the morning before school, David let monkey watch him play a little game on the computer. I think that we're going to miss monkey a little. We can't wait until he gets to visit again!

What a cute kid! Looks like the two of them had a lot of fun together!
And a side note - I know the hairdresser! We went to junior high together and Ryan and one of her kids were in preschool together. :P
what a fun day with Monkey! way better documentation than my half-baked attempt. ;)
That picture of Davie and Isaac? Isaac looks 10 and Davie looks EXACTLY LIKE ETHAN!!!!
He is so cute :) What a fun day you had with your little guy, I need to do that with Ella. I still can't believe our babies are almost 5!
CUTE!!! I totally can't believe how much Davie looks like Ethan.
Also, I thought I'd share this with you since you were talking about Halloween displays. Today I was in Target and we were looking at the Halloween decorations, and I stopped in front of this moving, talking witch. She started up and Matthew just lost it! Poor baby was terrified!
I think that David would be the most awesome and loving and inlcusive BIG brither!!
Now that was a terrific story. You should have it made into a book and save it for him to read to his kids when he is a dad!!
How fun! I hope that our preschool does something like this next year when Truman is in the 4 y.o. class. Such a cute idea, and I love how much fun he had with monkey.
