Island Park | 2011

While we were in Idaho this summer we also visited the Munk family cabin in Island Park. Their family just bought this new cabin and it was our first time there! It was awesome. The cabin is right on the water and we just spent our time tubing, jet skiing, laying on the dock, dirk bike riding, sitting around the fire at night, playing games, watching movies. It was so relaxing and I wish I was there again right now! The only disappointing part of our visit was the fact that the day before we left the Halls to come, our 18-200 lens broke. It was a bit traumatic and we were only able to shoot with our 24-70mm. So. So. Sad.

Cool HDR shot Jason took one morning.

Island Park is located near the McCrae's campsite that my family camped at every year when we were visiting our grandparents in Ashton. Every time Julie and I made a run to the gas station for some sugar, movies, and other necessities, we would pass over the bridge that my family fished at every year and I couldn't resist jumping out and taking a few pictures one evening at sunset. So beautiful and so many memories!!

We probably spent most of our time playing in the water. The weather was nice and it's just so great being able to walk down to the dock to this amazing view.

More tubing!!!

The most entertaining and hilarious person to watch on the tube was Dallin. The boy is crazy and it doesn't matter how hard you try to flip him, the boy just won't let go! I don't know how he does it.

You may think that we finally got him here, but no. The kid stayed on and managed to right himself again. Unbelievable!

Audrey and Hannah are the most fanatic tubers of the family. The probably tubed 4 times as much as the rest of us. They love it and they are crazy. No going easy on these two!

Just chillin on the dock enjoying the sun.

I love this picture of Ethan helping his Grandma up the hill. So sweet.

Perfect spot to play cowboys!

Dallin has spent the summer in Idaho working and decided to buy himself a dog, who he finally named while we were there. Talley. Isn't she sooooo cute. And look at Dallin... he's turning into quite the Idaho Farmer Hillbilly.

Boys spent quite some time every day playing a little pool.

One day while we were here we decided to rent a jet ski for the day.

... and now for the crazies... (Man oh man was I missing my lens today!)

Jason decided it would be a great idea to have Ethan drive while he stood up and did flips and dives off the back.

Some of us even did a little canoeing. Important note to remember. When canoeing way far out, don't forget that you have to paddle all the way back. Phfeew.

Time sure does fly when you're on vacation. Would have loved to stay here an entire month at least! Can't believe another summer had come and gone and we can't wait for next year!

All your pictures are amazing! Looks like an amazing time in the sun, and water, and having so much family around.

Where did you get David's holster? I've been looking for one, and I'm about to make one, but if I can avoid it I will. Let me know. :)

That stinks about your lens!! But I agree with Jaime about your pictures being amazing! I love all of your landscape images and that picture of David playing "cowboys" is so so cute. I love taking landscape pictures of people, but it is hard with little ones... someday:-)
