Audrey entered the PTA Reflections program this year at school. Reflections was created so that students can have the opportunity to create works of art for fun and recognition. Each year the program picks a new theme and this year the theme was "Diversity means...". Students in preschool through grade 12 are encouraged to enter works of art in six areas: dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, and the visual arts.
This year Audrey entered in the photography category and won second place. She took this picture out front of a transformer and barbie holding hands. She took a picture of the unlikely pair in a lot of different spots, but her favorite one was of him and Barbie on the sidewalk. I love it! She had to write a description of her work and this is what she said:
"All children are different and we like a lot of different things. Sometimes we like different toys but even though we are different, we can all be friends."
