Seattle Children's Museum

Today David had his field trip to the Seattle Children's Museum. I was sooooo excited to wake up this morning to see that it was pouring down rain. Again. I seem to be cursed when it comes to field trips. I have rarely attended one where it hasn't been cold and wet. But, I guess that's to be expected living in the northwest. Luckily for us, by the time we got to Seattle, the rain had stopped! David had a fun time and I loved having just him and one other friend in my group. I think I have mentioned before, but one of my worst fears about going on field trips is losing one of the kids. It was perfect and it allowed them to be able to run all over and looking at whatever caught their attention.

The Mountain Forest was our first stop. The boys loved walking along the trail, through the cave with bats, climbing through the marmot hole, looking at all the animal tracks and chillin in the tent.

Next we stopped by the Global Village and the boys mostly just loved riding the subway and pretending to ride the Filipino bike. They played shop for awhile too and enjoyed serving me 2 pounds of bread! However, trying to get them to slow down to look at books or pictures was next to impossible. Shocker.

David's favorite was definately dressing up like a fireman and driving the fire truck. We actually came back to do this three times. Ooo! He is so cute!

Some more fun exhibits...

I just love this picture. David getting down with his domestic side. He gets that from me.

The day went by reeeeaaally fast. We were having so much fun that we were almost late getting back to the meeting spot to go home. I completely spaced and forgot to check the time. We had to run to catch up to everyone. But... of course, we still had time to stop for a quick shot in front of the Space Needle. David's expression clearly says... "really, mom?".

Phfew! Made it in plenty of time!

My group and my friend Melissa's group were cool enough to get seats in the very back of the bus. We are awesome like that. I know you're jealous.

Eeeks. I just want to kiss him all over. He and his buddy were so crazy and excited the whole time, but by the time we were almost back at the school they both looked completely tuckered out. Me too! I'm glad I was able to go on my first school field trip with David. I'm sure there will be many, many more!
