First Grade Music Concert

On May 9th, David had his first grade music concert. He sang his heart out and whenever he saw me with my camera, he made sure to give me an award winning smile. I love that! The whole family went to see his performance and it was, well,.... a first grade music concert. After being probably the only mother to actually forget to attend his kindergarten music concert last year (David didn't seem to notice or care, but I was mortified!), I was happy to be in attendance.

My awesome view. It doesn't matter how early I think I'm gonna be, I never get a good seat. I need to step up my game. And who are these people recording the entire program. Do they really go back and watch the whole thing? Maybe they do and maybe I need to get with the program.

I had a pretty good view from the mother's phone in front of me though!

Concentrating so hard on his xylophone performance. He didn't miss a note. Actually, I really have no idea... I was too busy snapping a bazillion pictures from my spot on the floor.

Proud smile

David was super excited after the program and wanted a "cool" picture. Of course, he once again has a scabbed up chin. That boy always has bandaids, scabs, and bruises.

After the thrilling performance, we headed to Yum-e Yogurt for a treat with David's buddy Ryan. We all filled up on sugar before heading home for the evening. Yummmmm-e!
