Ethan is such an old timer!

Today Ethan asked me if he was born in the year 2000? (I think he gets confused because most kids in his school class were born in the year 2000, but he was actually born at the end of 1999). When I told him he was born in the year 1999, he said... "Wow! I really am old! 1999??... Did they even make cell phones back then?" Oh my... at that point I was too afraid to tell him what year mom was born!

My kids may never know what it was like before we all carried around cell phones that also doubled as our own mini-personal computers. Now that I think about it... how did we all survive?

I think about that all the time. Mostly I think, "what did I do without a cell phone?!"

When I was pregnant with Laurel (late 1997) I got a flat tire on my way to work...I waited by the side of the road for almost 2 hours before help came for me. THEN, to add insult to injury, on my way to get the tire fixed (since I knew it wasn't a good idea to drive on the donut tire without another spare), I hit a rock and blew ANOTHER tire! Fortunately that time I was about 1/4 mile from a little convenience store so I was able to use my credit card at the PAY PHONE and call the repair guy to TOW me! It was horrible!

that is terribly funny! He'd probably pass out if he knew when you and Jason were born. :) He he he, this was a good laugh for me today, much needed. :)
