I have used Corel Photo-Paint to edit and design all of my pictures for years. It's a program I learned years ago when I worked at Smith & Greene Company when I was designing product catalogs so I know it well, however, recently I've decided that maybe it's time I switched over to Adobe Photoshop. I tried a few months ago, but became frusterated because I knew how to do everything so well in Corel and Photoshop is a whole new language to me, but this past week I have forced myself to play with Photoshop and I have forbid myself from using Corel. I am quickly becoming to LOVE photoshop and I am realizing that it's really quite similar to Corel in MANY ways and there are some really cool features. It has also saved me a lot of steps on things that I used to do in Corel. I'm still in the baby stages... and if there's anyone out there who is an expert at Photoshop... please share your wisdom! What are your favorite features?... Do you have any favorite plug-ins? I can't wait to learn more! This weekend Audrey went to her cousin's (actually it's my cousin, Lili's, daughter...) birthday party. Natalee just turned five and celebrated with a princess party. Here is a shot I took of the birthday girl. Could she be any more adorable?

*Here's another one I added of my cute little baby boy... isn't he sweet? I wish he'd stop growing up already!

I still think that Corel is easier to design things in, but that's probably because I know it better... but Photoshop is definately fun to play with pictures with!

(I'll ask Holly to fire off some faves)
Sweet pictures!!!
Wow, you're good! Chris does all the fancy editing around here.
Wow David looks old in that picture! And those girls look so sweet!
I wish I could help you. I use Photoshop Elements for all my digi scrap booking stuff. Elements is made for scrapbookers. Lots of extra buttons that you don't have on regular photoshop. Plus mine is the mac version! I am just useless help! Love the pictures still.
My favorite effect with Photoshop is "Gaussian (sp) glow". Try it on a picture. Its a lot of fun.
Good luck with Photoshop. Melissa mentioned that you could use some ideas, but nothing is better to use than the internet for this kind of thing. Just google PS filters/techniques.
That means you're ready to have another one, right? :)
I love what you can do with your pictures! I have no fancy photo editing software... maybe I am going to have to look into it, it just seems a little advanced! But your pictures always look SO GOOD!
I use photoshop elements, so it's different than that nice fancy version you have. I am still fumbling around with mine, and I've had it for 3 years. Love that picture of Davie, he looks so cute and grown up.
I love your pictures. Give me about 6 months and maybe I can figure out the program. But, something tells me I will never be that good with it. Probably has something to do with patience.
I use Elements but it is very similar to the real thing. I am on the computer every night messing with it and already yours look better than anything of mine.
