David and Thomas

I just wanted to share this cute picture of David I snapped this morning right after the kids left for school. David sometimes gets lost in the suffle of our crazy mornings, but he always finds something to entertain himself with and lately he's been loving his trains. It's been just recently that he's really gotten into them. This is an old train track that we bought for Ethan when he was just three. Grandma just bought David a new (and his very first) Thomas The Tank Engine train and some new tracks for his birthday and they fit together perfectly with our old no-brand set. Who knew?!! He just loves it! This track has been decorating our still vacant formal dining area for some time now!


Anyways, every time I've looked at this picture today it has reminded me of how fast time goes by and how I need to slow down sometimes and just enjoy the small moments. This picture reminds me of another picture I took of Ethan at this same age playing with his new train track... it seems like just yesterday. This has been one of those days where I have just wanted to freeze time for a bit. Thanks Grandma for the great gift!
