Skate Park

*Edited below.
Today I took the kids to the skate park to kill some afternoon hours. It was an awesome day and I loved being out in the warm sun. While the boys rode around on their skateboards and their scooters, the girls played tennis on the courts behind the skate park. After a while the girls got tired of chasing their tennis balls, so we headed over to the school next door to hang out.

Audrey and Aubrey were so hilarious on this one piece of playground equipment. I don't even know exactly what it was, but it was kind of like a merry-go-round that you hang onto instead of sit on. The girls thought it would be fun if I could hoist them up so they could actually sit on the top and then spin them. It totally freaked them out at first, but they got no mercy from me. They couldn't stop laughing... it was quite entertaining! Next time I go to Six Flags or some other theme park, I totally want to go with these girls because they would be a total hoot to watch.

And I'm sure everyone must think I don't go anywhere without my camera. I really wasn't planning on bringing it with me, but when Aubrey asked me if I had my camera to take cute pictures of them with, I just had to run back in the house and grab it... now I'm glad I did because I was getting worried that I didn't have enough pictures of these girls. HA!

Skate Park - Day 2*
Well... since the kids had so much fun at the skate park yesterday... we came back again today. :) And it was fun having Melissa with me this time. For some reason I always tend to take waaaaaaay more pictures when Melissa is around. I just hear her clicking away and I fear I must be missing out on something amazing.

I would love to hear what instruction Malcolm was giving them. He looks quite serious about it.

Since there weren't a lot of riders this afternoon, Audrey & Aubrey had fun riding skateboards too. However, they took a much more simple approach.

David was just dying to climb all over this skate park, so when it slowed down for a few minutes we decided to let the little ones have a go. Can't you just tell how happy this made them?

not even sure I'll post pictures after seeing yours...I'll just write a journal entry instead. ;)

I love the pictures! And it's always fun to hang out...I take a ton of pictures because it takes me THAT much longer than you to catch a perfect one...PLUS, I am trying to figure out your secrets. ;)

Love these pictures! Aren't you glad you didn't leave home without your camera? You would have missed out on capturing all of this! Yeah for park weather!
