Soccer and football season are coming to and end. It started out awesome with the most sunny and warm days, but ended a little cold and wet. No complaints though... it was a pretty fun season and both Ethan and Audrey had a lot of fun playing!
Audrey did really well and started out the season with a bang, however, a little more than half the way through the season she had a tough game where she got smacked in the face twice with the ball and so she seemed a little nervous after that. But all it took was a little bribary, in the form of candy, to bring back a little of that fire.
And running through the end of game tunnell is still one of the game highlights for Audrey.
Audrey played on the same team as her best friend, Aubrey, again this year. We wouldn't have it any other way!
Davie hanging out on the sidelines. Maybe next year we'll sign him up, but that's a very big maybe. The thought of three games to juggle on a Saturday sounds exhausting. Here's a cute pic of David playing catch with Grandma Kidd.
This was Ethan's first year playing football. Since he's never played before, we signed him up for flag football with Convington Sports to see what he thinks of it. He said he likes it waaaaaaay better than soccer. It was a bit intimidating for him at first since there were a lot of older kids on his team who seemed to already know what they were doing. But he listened well and practiced hard and at our last game, the coach came up to Jason and told him that Ethan was by far the most improved player he's seen in such a short amount of time. The coach also told Ethan that he went from being asleep to being a star.

I love going to games and watching the kids play. It is so much fun, but I'm also excited about having a little break for a bit.... at least until basketball starts up again!

Cool pictures! I'm currently working on my fall soccer post, but I'm afraid the pictures aren't as crisp as yours. :) Gotta love sports in Seattle in the fall/spring! :)
1. I'm glad I finally found the cleat that left all of that wet grass ALL over my house. Because the cleats around here denied it was them!!!
2. It kind of creeped me out looking at Audrey's pix on the field... she looks JUST like Jaylee and they have the same mannerisms when they run and play soccer. Neat, but creepy!!!
3. Flag football is an AWESOME idea!! I don't think the kids play it around here. Ethan looks very grown up with his hair a little longer and messy from playing!
4. Can't wait to see pix of Davie playing sports!! BOY will you be busy!!
I love it! I'm glad the girls are on the same team...I hope they keep playing together! And Malcolm swears he's all about football next year. We'll see... ;)
So enjoyed the pictures! Sorry we didn't get to go to any of the games. Great pictureof Ethan making his first down. And Audrey just makes me smile whatever she's doing. Davie..I think he'll love whatever sport he gets to bein.
