Birthday, Bowling, and Hooters

Yesterday for Jason's birthday we decided to celebrate by all going bowling and out to lunch. We headed over to Cascade Bowling in Renton and much to our surprise there was a new Hooters Restaurant right next door. The place was looking pretty ghetto, but we decided to head on in and it was then that we discovered that not only was there a Hooters Restaurant next door... they had actually turned the bowling alley into a Hooters Bowl... complete with the slogan, "Grab your balls and let's bowl!" And yes!... they did not disappoint. They had waitresses serving beer and hot wings in the bowling alley too. Let's just say we all got an eyeful and after Jason, Ethan, and I finished busting up, we decided we better find a different bowling alley. Audrey kept saying that she didn't understand why we were all laughing and we didn't really ever explain it to her. We then headed down to downtown Kent and played a few games at Kent Bowl... what a time warp that is! It still feels exactly the same, but with a lot less smoke. It was a lot of fun.

After bowling, Jason's parents met up with us at our favorite restaurant, El Charro. Grandma and the kids humored me by posing in front of the restaurant for a picture while Jason and his dad checked out their new car that they had just bought that day! After dinner we had the staff at El Charro surprise Jason with a happy birthday song and the birthday sombrero. The kids thought it was so funny... in fact, they all wanted to try on the birthday sombrero for themselves.

It was a fun day and if Jason tells you all that I brought him to Hooters for his birthday, you'll all know the whole story!

How funny. What a cool wife to bring there husband to hooters. That cracks me up that Audrey didn't understand. She is still so innocent. I wish I was at El Charro. I am craving that place bad. Glad Jason had a happy b-day.
