Monday the kids had no school so we decided it would be a fun day to go to the zoo and boy were we right! I can't think of another time when I've had more fun visiting the zoo. Nobody was there... all the animals were out and playful... and the zoo staff were busy feeding all the animals and happy to answer all of our questions and tell us fun facts about each of the animals. It was so much fun!
David just loooooved little Nemo. He kept running back to see him again and again. 
Ethan's favorite animal...
Ethan invited his friend, Cayden, to come along and they were cracking each other up the whole time.
This tiger was so cool. He would walk all over his cage and growl, and he would pace back and forth in front of the window and at one point, Ethan had his face and hands pressed up against the glass and in one quick move the lion turned around and jumped up on the glass and stared Ethan right in the eye! I've never seen Ethan jump so high!... even my heart was racing a little. I'm not sure I like that tiger looking at my only daughter that way! 
What, might you ask, is making these boys crack up so hard???.... answer is below...
Yup. This big, or should I say, HUGE 4,000 lb walrus getting fed his lunch. He was making all sorts of grunting noises.
We stayed until closing and even had a few minutes left to play in the kid's play area.
Ethan and Cayden racing down the slide. Apparently after getting stuck, Ethan thought his only bet to win was to bail out early. Unfortunately for him this was a disqualification.
I'm so glad that we decided last minute to go because it turned out to be such a fun day!

Surprised we didn't see you there. It was one of our favorite trips to the zoo as well. But my pictures look like crap compared to yours!

Looks like a blast! Soooo funny that you guys went the same day we did. Your zoo looks absolutely awesome. I want to go to that one. Love the pictures, and especially that one of the Tiger looking at Audrey.

Great shots!!! All the photos brought back memories of when we all headed up there a few years back... fun times!!! Glad you had a great day... we're thinkin of going Fri when Jaylee has off but it's only 19' here... so maybe we'll hold off!! Did your passes work?!?
