So it is not uncommon for us to have pancakes and eggs for dinner. My kids love it and it's easy! Tonight Audrey and Aubrey decided they wanted to make their own pancakes. It started out quite easy and under control. There was already a little bit of pancake batter mixed up and ready for use. However, after Audrey and Audrey made their very own pancakes with much success, they just couldn't stop there. They had to make another one... and another... and another until they had pancakes piled up all over the kitchen counter. Some looking quite nice and some looking a little deformed and gooey.

By the end of their cooking extravaganza, there was pancake mix
all over the counters, syrup all over the floor, discarded pancakes on the floor and sink, and normally I would have been annoyed, but I just didn't have the heart to be upset since they had made me my very own pancake, complete with lots of butter, LOTS of syrup, and even more whip cream with a side of hard boiled eggs. They were so excited to serve it to me and even more pleased when I ate the whole thing.
