Zoo Lights

When the Dillons called this afternoon inviting us to go see the zoo lights at Point Defiance tonight, we thought it would be the perfect way to end our holiday break. I have never been to see them before, so I didn't know what to expect, but I thought they were awesome!... And after having just spent way too much time taking the lights off of my Christmas tree earlier today, I have much respect for whoever has the patience to put all of those up. No thank you!

Most of the animal exhibits were closed for the evening, but we did get to see a few... mostly some nocturnal animals, and even though the lights were so cool, I think the kids got the most excited about seeing the animals! We can't wait to go back again and again this year thanks to our new zoo membership we got from Jason & Jenn! (Thank you guys!) Those cockroaches give me the heebie jeebies every time I look at them. They're so icky!

After an evening looking at the lights we headed back to our place for some cookies and ice cream. What a fun evening!

How pretty! That was one thing I always wanted to do while living there but never got around to. Sounds like you had a great time!

those lights look beautiful. We never made it to our zoo this season, and it makes me sad. Maybe next year....

it was fun for me...apparently it almost killed my kids. Though you wouldn't know it by the pictures.

THanks for the yummy cookies!!

I have always wanted to do the zoo lights there every time I am in Washington for Christmas, there just never seems to be any time to go. What fabulous photos!
