Last week we drove down to see the Tulip Festival and it is the first time I have ever gone and it is BEAUTIFUL! We did, however, learn one very important thing from this trip... do NOT go on a beautiful, warm, sunny, weekend! It was SO crowded. It took us forever to get from the exit from the freeway to the tulips and when we finally got there, it was really crowded. I was a little disappointed because I had visions of photographing beautiful landscapes of tulips! Once I accepted the fact that wasn't going to happen, we decided to just let the kids run around and they had a really fun time... and so did I!
We drove to a small field of gorgeous red and pink tulips and this field was much less crowded and we were able to take a few pictures.

Don't worry! They didn't pick these! They were just lying on the ground and they thought it would make a cute pic. They were right!

Audrey actually loved taking pictures with the flowers... for a few minutes anyway.
Super cool barn we had to walk past to get to the smaller tulip field.
I wonder how long until they refuse to pose like this for me. They already hate it!

Ohhhh, I loved the tulip fields up there. We're going to go to our tulip festival down here, but there were just soooo many more up there. Loverly.

GORGEOUS! Tulips are my FAVORITE flowers. I'm excited because there is a festival in a couple of weeks out here that we are planning on go to! Can't wait to take some pictures, but they will pale in comparison to yours... way to go!
