Field trip in the rain

Last week I went on a field trip with Audrey's class to the Woodland Park Zoo and even though it rained the entire time, we still had a lot of fun. We spent a lot of time in the day and night exhibit (since it was inside and really warm), as well as, the tropical rain forest exhibit because they have been studying this in school.

The most memorable animals from today were the crested screamer, which is a large bird who was definately living up to his name, some of the monkeys who were getting a little frisky with each other, and definately the large python who looked like he was about to strike when Audrey jumped up to the window to have her picture taken!

What fun! love the zoo. sucks that you had to go in the rain, but it sounds like you made the best of it.

this is Jason...
your most memorable moment is about a BIRD and there are no pictures of birds. There's a big snake and a lazy gorilla. I feel a little short changed... next time please include pix of the screamer otherwise, I will report u to the FCC for FALSE ADVERTISING!

To: Jason,

Okay… Here is my defense to what you find so absolutely offensive.

IT WAS POURING DOWN RAIN!! I mostly just walked hunched over with my head down, hands in my pockets, and my camera tucked safely in my backpack. I had very little motivation to take ANY photos, however, I did get it out and snap a few pics when we were under cover and right before we were going to leave to go home. What you see is what you get. But because I care so much that you are pleased and completely satisfied with all of my blog entries, I have decided to email you a picture I found online of a screamer. haha! ;)
