My beautiful, sweet, amazingly fun girl turned eight years old last week! I love this girl. She is positive, sweet, and always ready to have a good time! We were actually traveling back from Canada on her actual birthday so we didn't get to do a whole lot of celebrating, but we made sure when we got home to invite the Dillons over for some cupcakes and ice cream!... and since Audrey's bestest buddy is celebrating her birthday in just one week we decided to light up her cupcake too! Although, we made sure to only give her seven candles since she is not quite officially eight.
For Audrey's birthday she wanted to celebrate by having Aubrey over for a sleepover and then the next day we went ice skating and out to lunch. She invited another good friend from her school class to go along with us! I told the kids last year that this year we weren't going to do big birthday parties, but just something small and special. Audrey was totally okay with this and enjoyed her day so much!
When the girls got home from school, I surprised them both with new matching outfits and a pedicure goody bag. They were sooooooooo excited and couldn't wait to get the party started. They quickly changed and then we headed out to take a few pics of them together.

To be honest, most of the shots were more like these... (and are actually probably my favorites)
After dinner at McDonald's with dad, and a manicure and pedicure with mom, the girls watched a movie and finally fell asleep. In the morning they had a fun time eating waffles, making forts, and jumping on the trampoline... And then finally we were able to go ice skating. Audrey has been looking forward to this for weeks. The girls did great and decided the girl with the most falls was the winner. I think Aubrey took the prize with Audrey as a close second.
I'm so glad that Audrey had a great birthday! I thought it was so sweet when, at the end of the day, she gave me a big hug and asked me if I had fun at "our" birthday party. (Since we actually celebrated her birthday on my birthday.)

I'm sure this celbration was soo special to her, being able to celebrate with her bestest friend!!! I can see them on their 75th Bday, buying matching outfits and dancing around together!! They are both so beautfiul and so lucky to have their special connection!! Hope you had a special day too Becca!!!
