Landsburg Dam

Today Audrey had a field trip to the Landsburg Diversion Dam that is on the Cedar River. I wasn't able to be a chaperone for this field trip, but since this is so close to home I was able to run over there to have lunch with Audrey and her friends after I dropped David and Dana off at preschool. I told Audrey I would try to make it, but I wasn't sure I'd get there in time. She was so excited when I got there and ran and gave me a huge hug. So sweet.

Since I wasn't sure I was going to be able to meet up with Audrey and her class, I let her take our point & shoot camera so that she could take pictures. She was SO excited.

Here are a few of the pictures Audrey took... she mostly took pictures of her friends on the bus and took a few at the river, including half of a dead salmon.

And, of course, when I got there I couldn't resist taking a few of my own pictures. I love taking pictures of kids at school. They're always so excited and happy to have their picture taken!

Audrey writing down all of her observations and some of the facts that she learned from her trip.

I'm really glad that I was able to make it and I'm also really glad that my kids still love to have me there.

Glad you got to join her, even if it wasn't for as long as you would have liked. She is such a cute girl. Looks like she enjoyed herself.

How fun. Now that Brody is getting older I am hoping to be able to chaperone a little more for Tommy's fieldtrips. I have to hurry, before I am no longer cool to have around. So far I am still cool.

I think it is awesome that you are so involved in your children's education! You are such a cool mom that they will never tire of you being around and one day they will appreciate all of the moments and memories you captures for them. Great photos too... as usual!
